To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice, someone else may be especially good at studying and teaching, and this is his gift from the same Spirit. He gives special faith to another and to someone else the power to heal the sick. He gives power for doing miracles to some and to others power to prophecy and preach. ……It is the same and only Holy Spirit who gives all these gifts and powers, deciding which each one of us should have.

Volunteers are the life and breath of our missions! There is no talent agency, employee pool or job service that can provide people like volunteers. Volunteers have an unselfish purpose. Volunteers have Spirit driven energy. Volunteers are always willing to do more then their share so others are required to do less. Volunteers are one of a kind people.

Your talents, whether medical trained, dental trained, education back ground, general care giver, maintenance people or jack of all trades, are needed by Friends of the Children.

Twice each year we travel to LaMontagne, Haiti. Travel days are long and tiring. For two or three weeks we set up, operate and then take down a clinic that provides medical, dental, pharmaceutical and maintenance support to the local residents. We can only accomplish this mission with energetic and willing volunteers.

It's not too late to join us on our next mission trip to Haiti. Remember that you do not have to have medical background to help make a difference. Physicians, dentists, RN's and physical therapists need good people to help them.
